Looking for the Advantage

Trekker takes off like a bullet, through the rooms he races. Up, over, and around he goes at top speed. Shiloh trails behind looking for an intersection point, knowing he can’t win in an all out chase. Trekker makes all the furniture part of the course finding an advantage in height when brother is over twice as tall. The footstools get Trekker to the optimal height to nip at his brother and then run for cover before Shiloh can turn to catch him. When not in motion, these same footstools are a wonderful place to watch for the opportune moment to pounce and begin a race again. I know, I know…corgis shouldn’t be jumping until over a year but it is a losing battle. He will make anything taller into part of his obstacle course. He is a born jumper.

Ah yes I know the scene well--the great Cardi chase goes on here often during the day, sans the jumping. I am blessed that my crew are not jumpers!

Ah...the ears. The better to hear me with. No, I guess that's not right quite right. Why stop at listening to me? The better to hear the neighborhood with and then let me know his opinions of the neighborhood news.

Those big ears are perfect for "selective Corgi hearing". That's what we call it at home, anyway...hehe

Gotta love those "zoomies"...try that with 7!! Well, Duchess, the Queen, is usually not involved, she prefers to watch from her permanent perch on the couch. She only comes down to break up the squabbles or play fetch the kong. The older kids have learned that when Duchess is playing fetch to clear the area...she'll bowl them over if not! The younger ones (Ransom, in particular) haven't quite learned that and you should hear her "tell them" to get out of the way! ;) LOL

Happy Thanksgiving!

Jumping, what jumping, isn't that the look you get when you try to get them to stop jumping?
